Reitman Parsonnet, P.C. was founded in 1982, the product of the merger of two venerable Newark labor law firms that began their practices in the 1920's and 1930's: Kapelson, Lerner, Reitman & Maisel (One of New Jersey's original Congress of Industrial Organizations law firms); and Parsonnet, Parsonnet & Duggan (One of New Jersey's original American Federation of Labor law firms). The firm took great pride in carrying on the advancement of union concerns begun by founders Thomas L. Parsonnet (who practiced law in Newark from 1923 until 1977) and Sidney Reitman (who practiced in Newark from 1937 until 1988).
