VICTOR J. PARSONNET has been practicing law in Newark for more than fifty years. He is a 1952 graduate of Northwestern University School of Law and earned his Bachelors Degree at Princeton University in 1949.
Mr. Parsonnet has long represented employees and unions in the public and private sectors, including in the building trades, printing trades, Teamsters, and production industries. In addition to labor and employment law, he has extensive expertise in Taft Hartley benefits law. He handles arbitrations, mediations and labor board proceedings, as well as contract negotiations, court proceedings, and internal union proceedings. He also represents the parties to real estate transactions.
Mr. Parsonnet is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee and of the National Coordinating Committee for Multiemployer Plans. He long served as a member and officer of the Executive Committee of the State Bar's Labor and Employment Section. He was a board member of the Essex County Urban League for 18 years, and a board member of the Consumers League of New Jersey.
