William H. Covert received his law degree in 1969 from Rutgers University Newark, New Jersey. He received his B.A. from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York in 1966 with Honors in English.
He began his career representing insurance companies in Workers Compensation and Civil Defense Litigation.
For more than thirty years, he has been exclusively representing injured individuals both in an employment and in a civil setting.
He was a partner at one of our predecessor firms, Kapelsohn Lerner Reitman and Maisel, from 1977 to 1982 and became a partner at the merged law firm of Reitman Parsonnet P.C. when it was formed.
His numerous cases have resulted in three published opinions involving Workers Compensation law. He has spoken at many Union meetings to educate the members of their rights under Workers Compensation and Civil injury settings. He has also testified as an expert witness in Workers Compensation law and was invited to speak before the New Jersey Legislative Committee during its consideration of Products Liability Law reform.
He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and of its Workers Compensation Section.
